Job Title: Cabin Service Agent

Department: Aviation

Position Reports To: Supervisor

GENERAL SUMMARY: Under the supervision of lead agent or supervisor on duty. Cabin agent is responsible for cleaning aircraft and ensuring it is properly serviced.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Vacuums aircraft floors, mops galleys and cleans tray tables
  • Cleans aircraft lavatories and empties aircraft waste receptacles
  • Stocks cabin service supplies
  • Maintains cabin service supply room

Liquor: Liquor agent is responsible for ensuring liquor bottles are sorted and stocked in the aircraft

Warehouse: Responsible for maintaining cabin service supply room, ensures supplies are updated and are prepared for loading..

Lavatory: Responsible for unloading of aircraft lavatory waste as environmentally required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Employee will work in outdoor, under-wing aviation environment. A majority of the day is spent performing outdoor work. Some of the work day is spent in warehouse/workroom setting.

Weather: Subject to all weather conditions.

Pace: Work is variable depending on the flight schedule, flight delays, weather conditions and passenger volume.

Work hours: Shift work/non standard shifts are common as well as weekends, holidays and nights.

Job Title: GSE Mechanic

Department: Aviation

Position Reports To: Station Manager

GENERAL SUMMARY: Under the supervision of station manager or duty manager on duty. Employee is responsible for general maintenance of ground service equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Replaces carburetors, starter motors, alternators, batteries, radiators, etc.
  • Performs daily maintenance such as oil changes, add coolants, tire changes and hydraulic fluid addition
  • Performs services on automotive workings, hydraulic drive components and diesel engines
  • Inspects equipment for proper fluid levels and general wear
  • Performs preventative maintenance on ground service equipment
  • Paints equipment, orders parts, stocks parts and maintains an inventory with accurate record keeping


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

  • Knowledge of DGS, aviation and safety principles and practices.

Job Title: Passenger Assist Agent

Department: Aviation

GENERAL SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Supervisor or Manager on duty, incumbent is responsible for assisting special needs passengers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists special needs passengers and unaccompanied children in transporting and claiming personal belongings and baggage
  • Lifts special needs passenger up/down stairs of aircraft and in/out of wheelchairs
  • Greets and escorts passengers in lounge and/or waiting areas
  • Communicates instructions and special services for arriving passengers
  • May assist in arranging for ground transportation


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED preferred

Job Title: Passenger Service Agent

Department: Aviation

GENERAL SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Supervisor or Manager on duty, incumbent is responsible for handling work associated with ticketing and reservations and those activities necessary to board and deplane passengers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greets customers and provides necessary travel information
  • Keeps customers informed and makes announcements to ensure important information is communicated
  • Coordinates with internal resources to ensure passenger information is processed and flights are dispatched on time
  • Accepts passenger luggage and creates bag labels to ensure proper delivery
  • Assists passengers with reservations and adjustments to itinerary

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Job Title: Ramp Agent

Department: Aviation

Position Reports To: Supervisor

GENERAL SUMMARY: Under the supervision of Lead Agent and/or Supervisor on duty. Ramp agents ensure the timely movement of baggage, freight and mail between stations, while also achieving on-time departures and arrivals of aircraft.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directs and positions arriving/departing aircraft for loading and off-loading aircraft of passenger baggage, airmail, freight and company material
  • Marshals and dispatches aircraft
  • Drives ramp equipment which includes, but not limited, bag tugs, belt loaders, aircraft tow tractors and water and lavatory servicing vehicles
  • Performs light maintenance on those vehicles such as fueling and adding oil, water, etc.
  • Works in the baggage make-up area where he/she prepares and prioritizes baggage load for delivery to the proper aircraft for loading

Job Title: Sky Cap

Department: Aviation

Position Reports To: Supervisor

GENERAL SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor, incumbent is responsible for checking in passengers and luggage at curbside.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Checks passengers in for flight, prints bag tags and boarding cards
  • Verifies passenger identification and boarding card are correct
  • Collects fees for additional baggage and administrative fees
  • Communicates all applicable fees such as additional bag fee and admin fee to passenger prior to processing transaction
  • Keys customer information into computer system and verifies luggage meets weight requirements
  • Load bags onto belt system
  • Assists disabled passengers by contacting wheelchair dispatch
  • Meets and greets passengers to assist with passenger luggage


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

High School diploma or GED desired.
